Yayasan Hasanah is a leading foundation that promotes Malaysia’s global sustainability through solutions that empower communities, encourage social inclusivity, and improve the environment.
Yayasan Hasanah faced data consolidation challenges due to storage across multiple platforms, with limited visibility into the impact of its grant portfolio. Complicated grant applications, due to varying documentation formats, combined with lengthy and time-consuming review and approval processes, made it difficult to manage grants efficiently.
To replace its legacy systems with a scalable, cloud-based grant management system and improve internal communication between departments, Yayasan Hasanah implemented Amp Impact for grant management, Salesforce Experience Cloud for a grantee portal, Formstack for third-party integration, and Salesforce Chatter as a collaboration tool.
Vera and Yayasan Hasanah began with a discovery and design workshop to gather requirements, then built a grant management system using Amp Impact’s portfolio management features. The team developed a custom dashboard and reporting tool for easy grant performance monitoring, streamlined the grant application and review workflow, and used Salesforce Chatter for real-time staff collaboration. Vera also conducted training to equip the Yayasan Hasanah team as system administrators and help others use the system effectively.
“We are pleased with the solutions provided by Vera, which have significantly improved our operations. Their clear communication and technical expertise, from initial planning to ongoing support, was exceptional. The team has been excellent and collaborative, with clear communication on the scope of work and timeline expectations. They took the time to understand our requirements and provided recommendations that aligned with our needs and goals.”
– Azlin Hashima Mt Husin, Senior Manager, Programme Coordination
With Salesforce and Amp Impact, Yayasan Hasanah can manage 600 eligibility users, process 400 application submissions, and oversee 110 grants within one year, while improving its overall grant management process by incorporating application submissions and review stages. Automation cuts the time and effort needed to assign applications to reviewers, and the system tracks performance using a defined set of indicators — enhancing transparency and collaboration between internal teams and external partners. Yayasan Hasanah now receives real-time updates on its grant portfolio, enabling the team to track and assess impact, with data from various platforms consolidated into one cohesive system. Users gain easy access to targets and results through user access and real-time data integration, reviewers have a centralized chat interface to share updates, and the Experience Portal enables grantees to apply for grants and update project progress on a unified platform.
Looking ahead, Yayasan Hasanah intends to further develop the system to manage its grants, with the next step being to build a Grant Management System for its ArtsFAS and SE grant programs.
