Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Finance Manager to oversee the daily financial and accounting operations for our international organization. The Finance Manager will lead the improvement and maintenance of the financial close and forecasting results, and will drive ad-hoc improvement projects as needed. This role will allow you the opportunity to stretch and grow, gaining experience to financial operations of a growing global company. You’ll be exposed to financial reporting, financial close and forecasting, and overseeing payroll across Vera’s global entities. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills, experience, problem-solving capabilities, and eagerness to learn. We want someone with a demonstrated ability to coordinate competing priorities with finesse, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for international consolidation and foreign currency conversion
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
- Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
- Analyzing and reporting cost variances
- Serving as a liaison to external auditors
- Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting departments
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
- Proven experience as assistant controller, finance manager or other similar positions with a US company
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
- Understanding standard cost calculation
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and ERP software
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Optional
- CPA or other accounting certification
- Expertise in internal controls and technical accounting, particularly software license revenue recognition
- Familiarity with local, state, federal, and international tax regulation
- Experience with managing international entities
- Experience using Salesforce
