Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Website Developer & Digital Marketing Coordinator to develop and manage our websites, optimize them for search engines, and integrate them with Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in web development, and SEO strategies, and experience with WordPress, Elementor, HTML, Java, and Salesforce. Additionally, a passion for the social and nonprofit sectors is highly valued, as our work focuses on helping organizations that make a positive social impact.
Primary Responsibilities:

You will work closely with the Marketing team to create and execute digital marketing campaigns, collaborate with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are applied to all website content, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website performance and integrations, and regularly analyze website performance to provide suggestions for improvement and optimization for lead generation.

  • Website Development:
    • Develop, maintain, and update websites using WordPress and Elementor, ensuring responsive and user-friendly designs
    • Implement custom themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and performance
    • Write clean, well-documented, modular and structured code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and any competing JS framework like React
    • Ensure mobile and cross-browser compatibility and troubleshoot issues as they arise
    • Ensure compliance with privacy laws while administering website security and data protection
  • SEO Optimization:
    • Conduct keyword research and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings
    • Be well aware of website performance optimization techniques like image optimization, lazy loading, caching strategies, content, meta tags, images, and structure to enhance organic search visibility
    • Monitor and analyze website traffic, search engine rankings, and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, tools, and an understanding of the best UX and UI principles
  • Salesforce Integration:
    • Collaborate with Systems Administrators to ensure data accuracy and synchronization between platforms for lead generation
  • Performance Analysis and Monthly Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly reports on SEO and website performance
    • Track and analyze key metrics including page performance, keyword rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of front-end website development and WordPress, Elementor, custom theme and plugin development
  • 3+ years of previous experience in SEO, marketing, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • In-depth understanding of Google Analytics Suite (GA4, Events, Tag Manager, Keyword finder, and Search Console), SEMrush, and other webmaster tools
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO best practices and algorithm updates, metadata best practices, robots.txt, and speed optimization
  • Experience in cultivating SEO keywords and phrases to drive web traffic
  • Proficient general computer skills, including Google Suite (Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Slack
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
  • Passion for and experience in the social and nonprofit sectors is highly desirable
  • Certification in SEO or relevant certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce and integrating it with websites
  • Knowledge of other web performance optimization techniques
  • Understanding of marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
