Join fellow NetHope Members and Partners for a morning fun sunrise run or walk from National Harbor to Rosilie Island to get us energized for the day.
What: A 30 min run, jog, or walk around the park. We’ll have at least 3-4 groups going at different paces.
When: Thursday, 24th Oct 2024, 7 – 7:30 am. The run/walk will start at 7:00 am promptly, so please arrive by 6:50 am to read and sign a short participation waiver.
Where: Meet at the entrance to the MGM National Harbor – we’ll do an out-and-back run/walk on the bike path to Rosilie Island and the Woodrow Wilson bridge back, between 3.5 and 6 km depending on your pace.
Why: Get outside, get moving, get energized, and get grounded for the day. Connect with fellow NetHope Summit attendees in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

Is this a race?
No, you’re welcome to run/walk as fast or slow as you want.
Do I need to be an experienced runner?
No! All levels are welcome.
Do we start and finish at the same point?
Yes.
What kind of attire should I wear?
Expect temperatures in the mid-50’s / 10-15°C. You’ll likely want long sleeves. Feel free to dress up / wear bright colors!
Is this a fundraising / charity event?
No, it’s just for our collective wellness, enjoyment, and connections.
Do I need to bring anything?
No.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, we will have printed copies ready on our booth during the event and at the start of the walk/run.
Sports Waiver
I hereby undersigned, acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in chosen sports activities to be held during NetHope Global Summit 2024 on October 24, 2024 named as “Fit for Purpose, Fun Run/Walk”, being hosted by shared hosts of Box and Vera Solutions. I understand that sports activities, chosen by me, involve inherent risks, including but not limited to bodily injury, property damage, and death, which may occur as a result of my participation.
I hereby: (1) release and forever discharge Box and Vera Solutions and their directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from any liability, claims, or causes of action arising from my participation; (2) acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation; (3) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims arising from my participation; and (4) confirm I have read and fully understand this waiver, including that I am giving up substantial rights.
