Position Overview
The Human Resources Associate will support the growth of our dynamic, international team.
We’re looking for an HR professional who demonstrates excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills. You will be responsible for facilitating various administrative procedures, maintaining employee records, updating handbooks and other policies, and coordinating with other departments to answer questions and ensure HR processes are running smoothly.

Ultimately, you will be a trusted voice of HR across the company, serving as a global resource for staff across the globe and a local resource in terms of Brazil-specific employment questions and regulations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a wide range of internal administrative procedures (e.g. managerial transitions, relocation requests, parental or other long-term leave), from receiving and processing staff requests all way through to final communication
- Coordinate initiatives, projects, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy (e.g. new benefit rollout)
- Support compliance with local HR regulations, conduct internal audits in support of ensuring compliance
- Update and maintain local handbooks for Brazil and other countries in which we operate
- Administer all benefits across the globe (not just local benefits)
- Liaise with key vendors (e.g. benefits vendors, employment lawyer)
- Manage employee records on Vera’s internal tech platforms (e.g. Salesforce system)
- Prepare employee letters (new hire agreements, employment verification letters, etc.)
- Negotiate contracts when necessary (e.g. with benefits vendors)
- Support the development of HR training materials for employees or new hires

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Ability to work in the English language (written and spoken)
- HR experience and expertise in an international company
- Good knowledge of HR policies and systems
- Ownership of initiatives and working independently, while following structured workflows
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, especially in Brazil
- Ability to follow established processes and obtain necessary approvals
- Outcome-oriented – you can drive complex project to completion
- Professional integrity – sense of responsibility and accountability
- Ability to work with people across time zones
- Experience with Google Drive/Docs
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
