Position Overview
Project Managers at Vera play a central role in delivering impactful, tech-driven solutions to social impact organizations. They lead consulting project teams, manage client relationships and ensure high-quality outcomes from the sales handoff through delivery and beyond. Project Managers are responsible for developing and executing clear project plans, managing budgets and timelines and steering the overall strategy for each client engagement.
This is a fast-paced consulting environment where priorities can shift quickly, and managing multiple projects at once is the norm. Project Managers must be highly organized, adaptable and confident in switching between tasks, clients and teams – without losing sight of the bigger picture. Confident and professional communication is essential across all channels and stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Serve as the designated Project Manager on client projects, taking full ownership of planning and execution. Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, scope and risks – keeping everything up to date and ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
- Ensure Quality and Client Satisfaction: Oversee the work of project teams to deliver high-quality outputs, collaborating with technical leads where needed. Ensure strong client experiences from pre-sales handoff through delivery and post-project collaboration with Customer Success Managers.
- Communicate with Professionalism and Clarity: Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining trust through clear, confident and proactive communication. Represent Vera professionally in all interactions – written, verbal and visual – internally and externally.
- Protect Vera’s Commercial Interests: Recognise and escalate risks and challenges early, while also identifying opportunities for further engagement. Ensure Vera’s commercial interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle. Manage resourcing across multiple projects to meet utilization and delivery goals.
- Manage People and Project Teams: Take on people management responsibilities, supporting the performance, well-being and professional growth of assigned team members. Prioritise team health and balanced workloads throughout each engagement.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Lead internal and external meetings – including kickoffs, planning sessions and regular check-ins with Vera teams and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to Growth and Innovation: Support Vera’s business development efforts by contributing to RFP responses, scoping new projects and engaging in sales conversations. Stay current with tools, technologies and best practices that can enhance delivery and client impact.
