Amp Impact enables organizations to monitor results against targets, leveraging standard and custom indicators, which can be aligned to specific projects, thematic areas, and/or regions. Built on the Salesforce Platform, it seamlessly connects to other Salesforce-based and Salesforce-integrated applications, providing a one-stop-shop for managing program, portfolio, and impact data.
In this blog, we explore how five organizations — Catholic Relief Services (CRS), World Vision, PATH, WaterAid, and Tearfund utilize Amp Impact and Salesforce to enhance their program delivery.
How 5 iNGOs Benefit from Amp Impact and Salesforce
1. Catholic Relief Services
2. World Vision
Given World Vision’s broad network, it was vital to create a system that not only fit their short-term needs but could also evolve over time. In this setup, Amp Impact is utilized to measure impact and performance, manage portfolio activities, and enhance collaboration – all seamlessly integrated with Salesforce. This combination ensures efficient data collection and management, supports international strategic engagement, and improves data-driven decision-making, leading to better project planning and delivery. World Vision has now partnered with Vera Solutions to engage in two discovery and design work streams for future system improvements and are refining the initial MVP system.
3. PATH
In 2021, PATH launched a five-year strategy, with a commitment to improving accountability and transparency of organization-wide results. To support this commitment, PATH leadership decided to invest in a central results system that would support routine capture of results data in a unified way. With an interest in investing in existing solutions that were already in use at PATH, the organization decided to integrate Amp Impact with its existing Salesforce system. This integration allowed expanded use of Salesforce for results reporting.
PATH trained project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) staff as primary users of the application to set up and maintain their project results and related information in the system. With Amp Impact, PATH collects and shares data that helps to visualize its portfolio in many ways, including reporting projects by locations served, health areas, results and milestones achieved, and impact on population served. PATH can slice and dice results by all levels in the institution (division, sub-division, program) and set up standard indicators for different portfolios. This centralized system allows access to updated information on impact and growth in the portfolio during the strategy period and supports management decisions by providing data on project implementation and key accomplishments.
The integration also helps PATH demonstrate value for money more clearly. Reporting at PATH is more standardized and supports access to data by everyone of PATH, allowing greater use of data in decision-making at all levels of PATH, which aligns with its five-year strategy.
4. WaterAid
To streamline its operations, WaterAid integrated its new system with other existing systems, enabling documents and selected financial data to be visible in one place for staff in the countries where they work. This integration, along with the unified system, will simplify processes across business development and project management, including project setup, monitoring, risk management, budgeting, and closeout. The new system assists country programme staff with business development, programme management, project management, and financial monitoring – providing a single source of truth.
5. Tearfund
With the transition to Salesforce and Amp Impact, Tearfund streamlined its operations by reducing manual tasks and improving data synchronization. The new system supports multiple currencies and languages, facilitates data migration, and integrates more effectively with Google Drive. By providing a unified source of truth, the system enhances user adoption and collaboration, while working with the organization’s existing tools. It manages accounts, contacts, partners, projects, and budgets, delivering real-time data and improved functionality to support program delivery and compliance management.
Understanding Amp Impact and Salesforce
