The International Women’s Day celebration continues. We’re highlighting some of our partners who work to advance the rights, health and livelihoods of women and girls around the world. Today, we’re profiling Women Win, a nonprofit organization using sport to address gender inequality and empower adolescent girls and young women.
Women Win, an internationally recognized center of excellence on gender and sport, supports teenage girls in exercising their rights through sport in more than 25 countries. In 2014, more than 25,000 girls participated in Women Win’s sport and life skills programs. Working with a range of partners in the field, Women Win cross-pollinates impactful strategies, resources, and tools across communities.
Over the last three years, Vera and Women Win have designed and implemented a Salesforce-based monitoring and evaluation system that employs interactive dashboards and detailed data analysis. Staff in Women Win’s Amsterdam headquarters and implementing partners in Asia, Africa and Latin America share program and participant data to track and evaluate their impact. Women Win analyzes changes in girls’ knowledge, attitude and behavior brought about by the sport programmes.
We’re proud to help Women Win and its implementing partners use data to contribute to girls’ empowerment all over the world. Check out their work by visiting their website: www.womenwin.org.
